International and wealthy and corrupt individuals not only launder their money through buying UK land, they also move the rents tax free into overseas banks.
Meanwhile the Treasury take steps to tax the incomes of UK citizens who cannot escape governmental clutches.
Thoroughly to tackle the consequences of imported corruption, in the politically supported UK free market in land, the Prime Minister should remove the profound injustice done to the landless tenants of the UK.
Their shredded benefit incomes have been taxed by 250 councils since 2013 and diminished by ever increasing rents.
They are summoned in their tens of thousands for late and non payment of council tax to the magistrates courts.
The magistrates then blIndly pile the councils' enforcement costs, in bulk on 1000s of cases at a time in their absence and around 3.5 million a year.
Those costs are piled on top of the council tax arrears, other debts and against the hungry, the disabled, those whose benefits have been stopped for three months with a sanction, in the processes of eviction, due to ever increasing rents, and with mental health problems, often followed by a visit from the bailiffs adding their fees.
Compensation seems a fair proposal.
All the government's protestations of care for vulnerable people bring to mind stable doors being shut after horses have bolted.
